What are Wellbeing
Booster sessions?

These are short sessions that you can watch whenever suits you, covering topics that students told us they would like. So far, we have Mindfulness 101 and Get Better Sleep, with lots more coming soon. We?ve also included our Worried About College? and Worried About Uni? sessions which have some useful tips around anxiety and stress. We?d really appreciate any feedback you can give on each session and which sessions we should do next! We?re also planning to run some live sessions in the future, so watch this space!

 

Mindfulness 101

In this session you will learn

Steps to Student Wellbeing from Valleys Steps. Want to find out about mindfulness? Then this video is for you. No prior knowledge is required. Join us to find out what mindfulness is; try it out with a short practice; discover the benefits of regular practice; and ways you can bring mindfulness into your everyday life.

 

Get Better Sleep

In this session you will learn

Are you struggling with sleep? In this session we look at why sleep is important, how much sleep we need, how sleep works, and how we can get better sleep. Check it out!

 

Worried About Uni?

In this session you will learn

Feeling worried about starting or returning to University? Then this video is for you: You will have the opportunity to reflect on any worries you may have about University; then learn about the mechanisms behind worry, fear, panic and stress; discover tips and tool to help you in times of change and uncertainty; and ways to boost your general wellbeing.

 

Worried About College?

In this session you will learn

Feeling worried about starting or going back to College? This video is for you! You will have a chance to think about any worries you may have about College; learn about what might be behind worry, fear, panic and stress; discover tips and tools to help you in times of change and uncertainty, as well as ways to boost your general wellbeing. Check it out!

 

Boost Your Mood

In this session you will learn

Coping with feeling blue, feelings of depression and low mood

Are you struggling with low mood or know someone who is?
If so, join us in this video to: explore what low mood is; learn to recognise the signs of low mood, such as low mood thoughts, actions, feelings and physical signs; and discover lots of different ways to boost your mood.
