Keeping you informed

Update from Valleys Steps

Many of you will appreciate that following the advice of Government and Public Health Wales, Valleys Steps suspended delivery of community based courses from Tuesday 17th March. We are aware that current restrictions on daily life will inevitably be having an impact on people?s mental health and wellbeing. We?d like to assure you that we are doing everything we can to remodel our service so that people can benefit from access to stress management and mindfulness based self help training.

What this means

We?re currently piloting stress management and mindfulness workshops with a view to providing these online. We hope to make these available to members of the public within the next two weeks. We?ll be looking to develop a fuller programme following introduction of the first two workshops. We?ll keep you updated on developments via our social media feeds and email circulation list.

In the short term, we?ve sought to enhance our website with links to sources of information and self-help material. This includes relaxation material, links to apps and other resources. More information can be found via http://valleyssteps.org/resources/downloads/. We?ve also created a range of vlogs and blogs on a range of topics including, mindfulness meditations, 5 ways to wellbeing and gratitude. We?ll be seeking to continually add to these resources to deliver bite size wellbeing and self help material. Our vlogs can be accessed here Valleys Steps YouTube Page whilst our BLOGS can be accessed via http://valleyssteps.org/blog/

How you can help

As we seek to develop our online offer, we?d really like to hear about the challenges people are facing and the kind of topics you would like us to cover. We?ll look to ensure the things we develop are both helpful and informed by the views of those who use our online service. We would therefore be grateful if you could complete our online survey by clicking the button below.
