Dr Jonathan Richards

I am a retired general practitioner. I served the people of Merthyr Tydfil for 35 years and had a special interest in mental health and wellbeing.  From 2010 to 2016 I was Locality Clinical Director for the Cynon Valley at Cwm Taf University Health Board. I have found Mindfulness and Stress Control very helpful in managing my own mental health difficulties.

Paul Davies
Trustee and Treasurer

Accountant by profession having worked in the NHS as Finance Director and Deputy CEO for Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. Joined Valleys Steps in 2016 and am passionate about the innovative role that we offer in helping to improve the mental well-being of people in our local communities.

Sue Nam

Retired Consultant Clinical Psychologist who, when working for the NHS, compiled the Mindfulness course now offered by Valleys Steps.

All trustees are expected to comply and understand their roles and responsibilities as outlined within Charity Commission guidance CC3. Further details can be found on the Charity Commission website, below. Valleys Steps also ask that board members endeavour to attend 75% of meetings each year held every 4-6 weeks.
