Who are Valleys Steps?
We are an exciting, innovative organisation working in a partnership with Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB, USW, Aneurin Bevan Health Board, local colleges, GP Clusters and a wide range of other stakeholders in the Third and Statutory Sectors. We are now firmly established in the third sector and are known for delivering high-quality early intervention well-being courses to 3rd Sector, Public Sector and Private Commercial organisations. Practitioners will also be involved with delivering a telephone information service, taking an active role in promoting the service online and at events and in supporting the development of the organisation.
Our Community Wellbeing Programme has seen in excess of 16,000 individual attendees since 2016. Valleys Steps is seeking to appoint a professional, enthusiastic and motivated Well-being Course Practitioner to deliver Psychoeducational programmes to different groups across the communities of Cwm Taf Morgannwg. This post will play a significant role in contributing towards one of the largest psychoeducational programmes in Wales.
The primary task of the role is to deliver a programme of well-being courses in community settings & online using different platforms. The Psychoeducational courses use a variety of interventions from CBT, Mindfulness and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy. We are looking for applications for a part-time practitioner.
Hours: Part time 15 hours
Starting salary:£22,015.50 per annum, pro rata (based on 37.5 hours per week)
Base: Pontypridd Area (post holder will be expected to travel throughout Cwm Taf Morgannwg, with more limited travel to sights in Cardiff and Gwent)
Annual leave: 25 Days plus bank holidays
